Specially Designed Instruction (SDI): A Foundation 3/02/27 March 2, 2027 from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. CPL @ Hammocks Middle School, 9889 Hammocks Blvd, Miami, FL 33196 The purpose of this professional learning is to fundamentally strengthen how Individual Educational Plan (IEP)teams determine and deliver Specially Designed Instruction (SDI), which is the crucial instructional service at the heart of the IEP. We will achieve this by concentrating on the core steps required by federal law: first, accurately identifying the unique effect of the child’s disability on their access to the general curriculum; and second, designing the precise special education and related services needed to overcome that specific barrier.
